‘NCIS: Los Angeles’: Kensi May Be in Dire Straits in First Episode of 2022

There’s nothing like having one of a show’s main cast members facing serious stuff. NCIS: Los Angeles puts Daniela Ruah in the crossfire.

Ruah plays Kensi Blye on the CBS drama. She gets caught up in a situation. This takes place in the show’s first episode of 2022 called Land of the Wolves.

As we turn to Matt & Jess for more information, we are hanging our Spoilers Ahead shingle out here, Outsiders.

The episode’s synopsis reads thusly: “The NCIS team scrambles to find Kensi when she is at****ked and k****ed by a mysterious militia group while helping a group of migrants cross the border.”
‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Episode Helps Carry Along Importance Of Kensi Blye in 2022

You can catch this episode on Sunday, Jan. 9, at 9:30 p.m. Eastern, 8:30 p.m. Central, on CBS.

According to this article about NCIS: Los Angeles, this episode will add to the view that 2022 will be a big year for Ruah.

She directs the Jan. 2 episode, one that her on-screen teammate Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Marty Deeks, wrote. Ruah finds herself ready to go back behind the camera for a later NCIS: Los Angeles episode.

Of course, there’s the ongoing drama around Kensi and Deeks forming a family.

Let’s assume that Kensi gets out of her dilemma. Now, we just have to figure out when that is going to be and how it plays out.
Ruah Receives Some Love By TV Show In Celebration Of Her Birthday

Daniela Ruah recently celebrated a birthday. NCIS: Los Angeles didn’t mind sharing their love for the actress known as Kensi Blye.

Over on Instagram, the show took time to put up a series of pictures. You can see this salute right here.

The caption with those photos? “We call it like we see it. And we see nothing short of a QUEEN. Show some love to the incredible @danielarush on her birthday.”

A fan writes, “Calling her QUEEN is not enough for what she represents to us! We love you Dani. Happy Birthday!”

The actress sees playing Blye as something she can do and remain valuable to the show.

Ruah becomes more involved as a director. Keeping her on-screen relationship active with Deeks adds even more to what Ruah brings to the show.

Working with the NCIS: Los Angeles writers helps keep Kensi active in the storylines.

Ruah says working with the writers is “something that you kind of do in partnership” with them.

“It’s their job to give the character obstacles and goals, and it’s my job to make them real,” Ruah says. “I try to make her [Kensi] as human as possible. I want her to react to things as much as I would, or human beings would.”
